Office Treatment
We provide treatment by several methods. The decision on how the child receives treatment depends on several factors: the child’s behavior at the first visit, the amount of treatment required and the doctor’s opinion on the safest and most comfortable means, physically and psychologically, to obtain a healthy smile for your child.
Treatment options include treatment in-office utilizing local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (laughing gas), conscious sedation and treatment under general anesthesia in a hospital.
The best route for care will be discussed with you prior to your child receiving any treatment in our office.
If it is recommended that conscious sedation or treatment under general anesthesia be utilized to facilitate treatment for your child. We want you to know that although certain risks are involved with these procedures, we take every precaution to make sure that treatment is received in the safest manner possible. This will include making sure that your child is as healthy as possible prior to treatment. It will be necessary for your child to see his or her pediatric physician for a physical. It is important that your pediatric physician fill out the “History and Physical” form attached below.
