If you Google “smiles and smiling” or “facts about smiling” or some version of that, you’ll find all kinds of articles and posts about why smiling is so amazing and why you should do it more and even some exercises to help you “practice” smiling. You can look all that up on your own, if you want. Some of it is weird and bogus, but a lot of it is true. Smiling IS good for you.

We’re not going to get into all that in this post; our purpose is short and sweet this time. We want to highlight one statistic:

Polls have shown that the vast majority of adults smile less than 50 times a day. (46% smile only 5-20 times each day). In contrast to that, children smile up to 400 times a day. Isn’t that crazy and cool?

Smiling is basically the superpower of children!

It’s true that we’re dental care providers, so we’re into smiles anyways, but facts like this make us love what we do even more and make us proud to be part of keeping your child’s superpower shining!
